LOCATION: Initially working from home with a requirement to travel to Derby twice a month. In the long term this role will be based in either Manchester, Derby or London so applicants should be able to travel to one of those locations easily.
HOURS: Full time – 37.5 hours per week.
SALARY: £27,000 pro rata plus 5% pension contribution
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and strategic leader who is passionate about refugees being welcomed by their local church, to join our growing team as we recruit for a Head of Training and Resources. We have seen our work grow exponentially in 2021 and we are looking to consolidate our training and resources to serve the UK Church to welcome refugees and asylum seekers in their communities. This role would be suitable for a self-motivated leader with knowledge and experience of implementing clear and effective communication strategies, designing and delivering training resources and with current knowledge and experience of working with refugees arriving in the UK. They should be able to relate well with church volunteers and be able to work closely with the Welcome Churches team. We are a highly-committed team who work collaboratively to support one another.
Our new Head of Training and Resources will have proven experience in developing training and projects and understand the needs and experiences of refugees and asylum seekers across the UK. They will have an active Christian faith, and be passionate about local churches welcoming refugees and asylum seekers into their communities.
