Join us on 23 June for Refugee Sunday 2024! This year, we'll explore together what "Our Home" truly means for all of us, through stories of refugees, people seeking asylum and Christians who support and welcome them.
This video is only a sneak preview. Sign up now for more stories and resources that will enrich your Refugee Sunday celebrations and empower your work of welcome here!
Asghar arrived in the UK as an asylum seeker with no choice but to leave his wife and children behind in his home country. They were together one day and separated the next. Asghar will not get to spend Father’s Day with his children. He doesn’t know when they will get the chance to be together again. Life in the UK is incredibly difficult for Asghar, but by meeting his local church family, he has experienced their love and support, and knows his Heavenly Father’s love in his life too
Our Beyond the Welcome video shares the testimonies of some of our Welcome Network churches and looks at the incredible way they are changing lives. We would love for your church to show this on Refugee Sunday or during Refugee Week to encourage and inspire your church.
We invite you to sing and share this beautiful, prayerful song in your church on Refugee Sunday. This poignant song reflects the struggles and challenges faced by many refugees and invites us to respond with Christ’s love and mercy to those in need of a Welcome.
