We’re inviting your church to take part in “I’m Not Being Funny, But…”, a new campaign designed to encourage open and honest conversations about migration, refugees, and people seeking asylum. Many people have questions but hesitate to ask them — this initiative creates a safe space for church communities to explore these topics together.
Upon signing up, you’ll receive a survey to share with your congregation and local community. We will collect the responses and then provide you with anonymised local insights, helping your church better understand and support newcomers. Your participation will also help shape this campaign for wider use across the UK.
Once you have signed up, here’s what you can expect:
Receive a Survey: We provide the survey for you to share with your congregation and local community.
Encourage Participation: You invite church members and others in your area to take part.
Access Local Insights: We share the anonymised results from your community with you.
See the Bigger Picture: You will also receive UK-wide insights to help shape future discussions in your church.
Practical Next Steps: Our Church Engagement Team will support you in using these insights to understand and address local concerns, and identify the steps that you can take to develop a more welcoming community.
Take part and help create a more welcoming and informed community across the UK!
For Early Sign-Ups
The first 30 churches to complete the survey will receive a free consultation session with our team. In this session, we’ll help you interpret your local results and recommend tailored resources and training to guide meaningful, restorative conversations within your community.
The deadline for applications is Friday, 18th April 2025.
