Refugees seeking safety travel up to 5,000 miles to reach the UK. But when they arrive here, their journey and hardship is not over. Right now, too many refugees are struggling with no community, no support and no place to belong.
There’s an urgent need to grow the Welcome Church network in high-need areas – so every refugee has a genuine welcome they can walk to.

How far will you go to welcome a refugee? Take on a sponsored walk or event to raise funds for Welcome Churches – and give refugees a welcome they can walk to.
Could you take on a Walk to Welcome challenge and raise vital funds to provide more refugees with the welcome they deserve? You could walk five miles or 50 miles. You could organise a church walk. Or create any other challenge you like!
Every penny you raise will help recruit churches to the Welcome Network, in towns and cities where the need is greatest, and provide free training. Every step you take will bring a welcome closer to a refugee who needs friendship and care.
